Sign a PDF without uploading it anywhere
The popular e-signature sites make you upload the contract, then store it, email about it, and upsell you a subscription on the way out. When all you need is your signature on a page, none of that is necessary. This tool renders the PDF in your browser, lets you draw or upload a signature, place it precisely, and re-saves the file locally — the network stays out of it entirely.
How to sign
- Drop your PDF onto the panel.
- Draw your signature with a mouse, trackpad, finger or stylus — or upload a PNG/JPEG of it.
- Click anywhere on the page preview to position the signature, drag it to fine-tune, and size it with the slider.
- Click Sign & download. The signature is drawn into the page itself.
Visual signatures vs. digital signatures
What this tool applies is a visual (electronic) signature — an image embedded in the page, like ink on paper. A digital signature in the cryptographic sense additionally binds the document to a certificate and detects tampering; that requires certificate infrastructure and is deliberately out of scope here. For most everyday agreements the visual form is what's expected. If the document has form fields to complete first, fill them with the PDF Form Filler — and if the finished file is sensitive, lock it with the Protect PDF with Password tool before sending.
